About

The female form carries a timeless narrative of strength, vulnerability, and resilience — themes at the heart of my work. Through sculpture, I explore identity, empowerment, and connection, inviting viewers to engage with these ideas on a more intimate level.

I earned my BFA in Sculpture from the University of Washington in 2003, specializing in metal casting, with a portion of my studies completed in Rome through the UW Studio Art Program. In 2009, I transitioned to working primarily in clay, drawn to its tactile nature and limitless potential for exploring movement and structure. Based in Seattle, I continue to push the boundaries of my medium, deepening my passion for sculpting.

Growing up across various landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural world—its intricate details and quiet beauty. Despite having little exposure to galleries or the broader art world until college, my environment nurtured my creativity and hands-on approach to making. Artists like Giacometti influenced my perspective, showing me that art need not strive for perfection or realism to convey profound meaning. Travels through Europe and an enduring fascination with ancient cultures continue to inspire my work, shaping my exploration of the connection between art and nature.

In 2005, I co-founded the Twilight Artist Collective in Seattle’s West Seattle neighborhood, spotlighting hundreds of emerging artists until 2012. Since 2014, I’ve served as steward of the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall, “Purveyors of the Rare and Sublime,” operating an art gallery out of a 1951 Spartan Royal Mansion travel trailer—showcasing the work of 35 local artists and fostering an accessible, vibrant art community.

In 2015, I opened Pugmill Society, a ceramic collective at Equinox Studios, where I continue to create my work in the company of Seattle’s thriving creative community.

Currently, you can see my work at Domicile, The Royal Mansion Gallery and at Pugmill Society.
