The Guardian:  An exploration of female archetypes.  Incorporating Celtic Runes script* with her own symbolism, Mary has created this body of sculptures. This is the 4th part of a series, following: Rise with the Lark (2014), The Matriarch (2015) and The Muse (2017).

*Runes (Celtic runes) are an alphabetic script used by the peoples of Northern Europe from the first century c.e. until well into the Middle Ages. In addition to their use as a written alphabet, the runes also served as a system of symbols used for magic and divination.
